Hole in One 2 (ホールインワンレディー Horu in wan redi), known in Rhythm Heaven Fever as Hole in One 2 (ホールインワン2 'Houruinwan 2?), is the 43rd minigame game in Rhythm Heaven Fever and the 83rd minigame in Rhythm Heaven Megamix being the sequel to Hole in One. In this sequel, you are playing a young female golfer who is learning from Monkey and Mandrill how to become a great golfer like pros.

Appearance/Gameplay differences

Hole in One 2 gameplay
Hole in One Lady gameplay
The game seems to take place in the sky, with the characters positioned on a pink cloud with multicolored palm trees on it, hitting golf balls over to another cloud. The player golfer is now female, Monkey is pink instead of brown, and Mandrill has a pink face and tan belly, along with a taller hair tuft.

The game is mechanically the same as the first Hole in One; the player needs to hit the golf balls as Monkey and Mandrill throw them. However, this game has Monkey throw the golf balls with less delay in between, and will throw many of them in a row, requiring the player to hit them faster. Mandrill's offbeat throws are much more frequent as well, at one point throwing two in a row.

Controls

Button Mode

  • A: Swing golf club (hit golf balls)

Simple Tap Mode

  • Tap: Swing golf club (hit golf balls)

Timing Notes

  • Hit: The player will hit the golf balls over to the island. Depending on how precise you hit it, the zoom bubble will show it either roll around the hole's edge and then fall in, fall right in the hole and clink on the sides, or land right next to the hole and zoom into it.
  • Barely: The player will hit the golf balls, but they will be either knocked to the left or right (depending on how early or late it it hit), landing in water. A barely counts as a miss.
  • Miss: For small golf balls, they will roll past the player, with Monkey frowning. For Mandrill's throws, they will fly into the golfer's leg, causing her to wince in pain.

Appearances

Trivia

  • Mandrill's taller hair gets called back to in Remix 9, where his hair is as tall as the screen, with the monkey from the Remix 2 version of Board Meeting climbing it.
  • The game seems to be played near "Rhythm Heaven", due to it's similar appearance to the place in Remix 10 (DS)'s and Remix 7(Wii)‘s epilogue screens.
    • The "Rhythm Heaven" place is not present in megamix version of this game, but instead, three giant spotted garden eels will be seen in the background once the clouds move a bit.
  • In Megamix, the female golfer has a sweat added on her head when she didn't get qualified in the Try Again epilogue screen, but in Fever, she doesn't have it at all.
  • The clouds in the backround are the same ones found in Donk-Donk. Even at the end of both games Rhythm Heaven can be seen
