Medals (メダル^?, Medaru) are earned by completing a Rhythm Game with a Superb Rank, and are used to unlock various things in the Medal Corner such as Endless Games and Rhythm Toys.

For example images, this page uses each version of Karate Man.

Rhythm Tengoku

When getting a Superb, a medal icon is displayed on the top-right corner of the Rhythm Game's icon. Collecting these medals unlocks Toys, Games and Drum Lessons.

When getting a Perfect, a pink heart with a "P" in it is displayed next to the rank.

Rhythm Tengoku (Arcade)

When getting a Superb, a medal icon is displayed on the top-left corner of the Rhythm Game's icon, as well as the text "ハイレベルクリアー" (High Level Clear^?) on top of it.

When getting a Perfect, a pink heart with a "P" in it is displayed on the top-left corner of the Rhythm Game's icon, as well as the text "パーフェクトクリアー" (Perfect Clear^?) on top of it.

As this is an arcade game, these medals cannot be used to unlock anything, and only indicate that a Rhythm Game has been cleared in the current session. The player cannot replay cleared games in the same session.

Rhythm Heaven

When getting a Superb, a gold frame appears around the Rhythm Game's icon. This is still referred to as a medal in the game. Collecting these medals unlocks, Endless Games, Rhythm Toys and Guitar Lessons.

When getting a Perfect, a gold frame with the word "PERFECT" displayed on the bottom is used.

Rhythm Heaven Fever

When getting a Superb, a medal icon is displayed on the top-left corner of the Rhythm Game's icon. Collecting these medals unlocks Rhythm Toys, Endless Games and Extra Games.

When getting a Perfect, a medal icon with a "P" symbol is displayed on the top-left corner of the Rhythm Game's icon. Getting all 50 Perfects unlocks Endless Remix.

When getting a Superb on a Two-Player Game, a Duo Medal (ペアメダル^?, Pea Medaru) is rewarded, showing an icon on the top-left corner of the Rhythm Game's icon. Collecting these medals unlocks Two-Player Endless Games.

Rhythm Heaven Megamix

When getting a Superb, a gold frame medal icon on the top-left corner is displayed of the Rhythm Game's icon, and on the figure's base during the story. Getting a Superb on all Rhythm Games, and by extention all medals, is commemorated with a Badge.

When getting a Perfect, a platinum frame and a medal icon with a "P" symbol on the top-left corner is displayed of the Rhythm Game's icon, and on the figure's base during the story. Getting a Perfect on all Rhythm Games, and by extention all "P" medals, is commemorated with a Badge.

Aside from the aforementioned Badges, collecting medals does not unlock anything in this game. Instead, bonus content is obtained by purchasing it from the Shop using Coins and Flow Balls, or is unlocked through story progression.
